O’Neills Brass Rail is currently holding interviews for the following:

Barkeeper - Daytime shift/approximately 12-16 hours per week.
A unique position for the cheerful and ambitious individual who would like to assist the owner with overall responsibilities of maintaining the day-to-day operation of the business.  The successful candidate must be willing to tend to customers food and beverage requests; however, persons applying for this position must also understand that he/she will be responsible for the  preparation of hot and cold food items as well as the preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to receive deliveries from distributors and vendors, and assist in the day-to-day upkeep of the business. These responsibilities may include preparing for special events, cleaning, vacuuming, dishwashing, sweeping, errands, shopping, etc.

Barback - For Friday and Saturday nights; as well as special events.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Assisting the bartender(s) on staff by keeping the glassware cleaned and stocked, constantly maintaining beer, liquor, and wine coolers with cold beverages, retrieving used drink glasses from tables, bars and counters, emptying ashtrays, and assisting with other related duties as necessary.  Barbacks must also assist in cleaning and restocking the bar area after close, and may also act as a server when appropriate.

Door Persons.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Cheerfully greeting patrons at the door,
verifying the possession of positive identification and proof of age, and placing wristbands on patrons when necessary.  Successful candidates will also be required to accept cover-charges and make change during the greeting process. Candidates must be willing to maintain his/her post for the duration of his/her shift, and it is important that he/she consistently uphold a positive and polite attitude towards our customers.

Cook/Kitchen Staff - Kitchen is always open during regular business hours.
O’Neills maintains a full-service kitchen consisting of a six-burner stove/oven, a char-broil grill, a commercial grade dishwasher, and a two-bay deep fryer. Persons applying for this position must be experienced and trained in using this equipment, and must possess a QFO certificate (or be willing to obtain a certificate upon hiring). Responsibilities of this position will include the ability to prepare meals, wash dishes, and create and expand on our current “pub” menu with new and seasonal offerings.  In addition, the successful candidate will be required to maintain the cleanliness of our kitchen, prepare order list(s), and plan menus for special events when appropriate.

Shot boy(s)/Shot girl(s) - For our special events. Persons applying for these positions must be willing to work late night hours in minimal attire and must be an extrovert, cheerful, clean, attractive, and in very good shape.
